Hot off the press: Gene Hammel's unexpurgated History of Demography at Berkeley (pdf).

The Department of Demography is pleased to announce a search for a new tenure track faculty position. Deadline for application submissions is November 1, 2007.

We now have a link to the Berkeley Population Center (opens in new window), an interdisciplinary group of scholars at Berkeley and beyond conducting research on themes such as demographic theory, labor and family demography, immigration, and population health.
