Faculty Position: Department of Demography, Berkeley

The Department of Demography at the University of California, Berkeley (www.demog.berkeley.edu) seeks candidates for a full-time faculty position to begin in fall semester 2012. This is an open-rank search with rank depending on the successful candidate’s experience and record. Applicants are expected to have earned a doctorate in demography or a related field. The position is not restricted by subfield, and applicants with interdisciplinary interests are welcome. Candidates should have a distinguished or very promising program of research and teaching, familiarity with formal demography and demographic theory, and leadership potential. To ensure consideration, submit application materials by 17 October 2011.
