Kylee Hoffman
Sociology and Demography PhD

Kylee Hoffman is a PhD student in Sociology and Demography and a Computational Social Science fellow. Her research incorporates quantitative and computational methods to identify hidden patterns in large-scale population microdata, broadly focusing on cohort mortality, socioeconomic and historical causes of health inequality, and the effects of neighborhood change on migration and displacement. One of her current projects explores cohort imprinting effects in seasonal influenza mortality. Another project investigates how gentrification shapes migration patterns and decisions across socioeconomically stratified groups. Kylee holds a BA in Geography and Data Science from the University of Washington, where she assisted on the Mixed Metro Project.
